Come along to our one day creative workshops...
You'll be hooked!
Our creative days run from 10am until 3pm with a short break for lunch.
There is plenty of tea & coffee, and delicious cake to sustain the creativity.
Our workshops are perfect for beginners and those with experience alike.
The day is relaxed & structured and begins with an introduction to Silk, a demonstration of the way the beautiful professional dyes work, the methods of application and the process of fixing and finishing your wonderful creations.
Your tutor for the day will be Ruth Rutherford, a professional,
enthusiastic multi skilled designer, who will inspire and guide you,
to enable you to get the most from your day.
You will make a practice piece, experimenting with colour and technique.
You will try various styles of Shibori, being amazed at your results.
You will then create a beautiful, vibrant and luxurious pure silk scarf
114 x 28cm, to take home with you.
There are a variety of sizes/shapes available.
The cost for the day is £80
and includes all the glorious materials,
tea, coffee and cake.
Just bring yourself,
your lunch and a pinny!
The class themes are a wonderful starting point for your day and your choice of colours will make your work completely unique!

Get Creative - Have Fun - Express Yourself
These are small classes to allow for individual tuition,
Maximum 8 people - Booking is essential.
Your day starts at 10am and will finish at 3pm.
There are no rigid expectations, and no experience is necessary.
You will be truly amazed at the beautiful results that can be achieved,
it is a lovely relaxed and fun day.
If there is a group of eager silk painters and you would like
a separate bespoke workshop date, just get in touch...
All you need is min 6 people to have your own creative day,
